George Bezerra, PhD

Founder & CEO

I've spent 15 years building the data and AI infrastructure that enterprises run on. My PhD in Computer Science was followed by a postdoc at MIT CSAIL, where I researched extreme-scale database architectures.

Most recently I led a 60-person data and AI organization as SVP of Data and AI at The Knot Worldwide, where I oversaw the complete rebuild of the company's data platform and ML infrastructure. Earlier I was VP of Data and ML at Frontdoor, and Sr. Director at TripAdvisor, running analytics infrastructure that served billions of data points.

I co-founded InvestInData, an angel collective of 50+ senior data executives from companies like Netflix, Airbnb, and Uber. This network gives me a front-row seat to how the best data and AI teams operate, and where they struggle.

I started Pristino after watching the same pattern repeat at company after company. Teams invest heavily in AI, the demos look impressive, and then the returns never arrive. The problem is rarely the model. It is the foundation underneath: the modeling, data, integration, governance, and measurement that decide whether AI pays off.

I work with a small number of companies at a time, so the work stays hands-on and the outcome stays measurable. If your AI spend is climbing while the returns stay flat, that is exactly the problem I solve.
